Types of Honey Bee Removals
Before contacting a beekeeper please verify that they are honey bees. Beekeepers will not remove wasps, hornets, or bumblebees. Also as anyone doing a cutout if they are licensed by the State.
Honey bee removals have been classified into two primary types for removal identification.
Free Standing Swarm
The 1st is a free standing swarm. This is a swarm of bees tightly grouped together often times with little to no honey comb. The swarms can collect on branches or other objects like the car below. Often times removal is low cost or free for these types of removals.
The second is a removal of an established bee colony know as a cutout. Removal experts must be licensed by the state, as for proof of license. Below are three examples of a cutout. Some beekeepers may charge for the service depending on the difficulty of the removal.
